Smokey the Firetruck is a lovably fire truck fom matchbox toys is an interactive toy that will respond to your childs movements, smokey has different modes of play, when on all six wheels the truck is in truck mode, by pulling back on the lever smokey will stand up in character mode and run through different songs, you may have to operate the lever a few times to get him to go through the full set of songs, ful further on the lever and you will be able to fire the water balls to help put out the fire, , Smokey follows closely in the footsteps of the much loved stinky the garbage truck and is great fun for children of age three years and up,
Using motion sensors and sound activation, Smokey is always on alert. He knows how to say over 95 phrases and can sing 4 different songs. He won’t sing every time, so keep raising and lowering him if you really want to hear him. Though he’s always ready to play, Smokey will fall asleep if you leave him alone long enough. Press his lights or push him around to wake him up again!

there are a few things however to note when taking smokey out of his box the packaging is very well done and it could take some time to get him out, there is also a small piece of plastic that holds smokey in the upright position while he is in the box and if you do not locate and remove iut he will not go through the functions, there is no mention of this in the instructions 
so look out for it when unpacking,
Matchbox Smokey The Fire Truck is supplied with four c type batteries but they are not long life batteries and will probably run out quite fast so to avoid dissapointment especially if you are buying this as a christmas toy make sure you have some extras, you will nedd a phillips screwdriver to replace the batteries,
Smokey is designed for indoor play only and has some delicate electonics inside so if he is taken out and gets sand or dirt in then he may stop working, there is a reset button on the truck in case of malfunction
